The Perdido Key Sailing Club is currently accepting new members. Membership comes at a modest application fee and monthly or yearly dues. You do not have to purchase your own sailboat although the cost for the first sailboat that the Perdido Key Sailing Club purchased was only $1,218 which included the boat (Snark Sunflower 3.3 Sailboat), two type III Universal life vests Adult size, a 5' paddle and shipping and handling. We purchased our first boat from Castle Craft. The order was very easy and the boat was shipped within two weeks - within two weeks we were sailing all along Perdido Key's inland waterways.

When placing your order, ask about any available "Factory Seconds". These boats have slight blemishes but are still sea-worthy and the blemishes are usually not too noticeable. Our first boat was a "Factory Second" and it saved us several hundred dollars.
